Arrow   Internship Procedure

The internship allows the practical application of acquired knowledge and skills to real world situations and issues.

The procedure for completing the internship is listed below.

  1. Complete 3 hours of internship credit. You may add these hours to your schedule at anytime.
  2. Secure an internship and an academic advisor for it.
  3. Before you leave campus in May, turn in the Internship Coversheet.
  4. Two weeks into your internship, negotiate your Learning Contract and submit at least two administrative journal entries to the Coordinator of Student Services. Get clear direction and expectations from your faculty advisor on journal entry submissions.
  5. At the completion of your experience, ask your supervisor to complete the Supervisor's evaluation. You will need to complete the student's evaluation and the exit form.
  6. Complete the Internship Completion of requirements form.
  7. Write your paper.
  8. Practice for your presentation.
  9. Give a sterling presentation.
